INTERNAL MEDICINE – GASTROENTEROLOGY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: USA, Ohio
POSITION SUMMARY
This role supports The Department in establishing a new gastroenterology service line with strong patient demand. Responsibilities include providing outpatient and inpatient GI care, performing a full range of endoscopic procedures, and participating in a structured call rotation. The position offers a consistent weekly schedule, procedural volume, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary surgical team.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology
• Residency training in internal medicine and fellowship training in gastroenterology
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio
• Training or experience in Gastroenterology
• Ability to work within a collaborative, team-based clinical model
COMPETENCIES
• Performance of diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Management of gastrointestinal conditions with individualized care plans
• Coordination with surgeons, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff
• Participation in structured call responsibilities
• Delivery of patient-centered gastroenterology care
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice; Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
• New gastroenterology practice supported by a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Outpatient clinic with scheduled procedural blocks
• Inpatient consults based on facility census
• Access to modern endoscopic and diagnostic tools
• Structured weekly schedule with coordinated call coverage
