24-Hour Call Coverage | Inpatient GI | Ongoing Locums Pool Opportunity

A healthcare facility in Georgia is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for upcoming locums call coverage with the opportunity to join an ongoing provider pool for future shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for a GI physician seeking inpatient-only coverage with no clinic responsibilities.

Coverage Need:

• 7:00 AM 12/21/2026 – 7:00 AM 12/28/2026
• 24-hour call coverage

Practice Setting:

• Acute care hospital setting
• Inpatient-only GI coverage
• No clinic duties required
• Provider will manage:
  • Existing GI inpatient census and consults
  • New ED consults
  • New inpatient consults
  • GI procedures as needed
• Handoff support from established local GI group

Clinical Scope:

• Bread and Butter Gastroenterology
• ERCP experience strongly preferred
• Adult inpatient population
• Limited pediatric ER exposure only (no inpatient pediatric line)

Facility Details:

• 196-bed acute care hospital
• EMR: Epic

Compensation:

Competitive rates available, including:

• 24-Hour Call: up to $3,666/day
• Callback: up to $449/hour
• Holiday rates available
• Orientation compensation available

(Malpractice must be included in submitted rates.)

Requirements:

• Board Certified Gastroenterology
• Active Georgia license at time of submission
• GA DEA / CSR
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Clean malpractice/background history for expedited processing
• Must be local provider (no flights)
• Current NPDB self-query within 30 days
• Availability noted at submission
