Fellowship: Gastroenterology Fellowship — REQUIRED
Medical License: Active Colorado license — HIGHLY PREFERRED
DEA: Active DEA — REQUIRED
- Required for credentialing
- Site will consider a transferred DEA
- If using a transferred DEA, the physician must maintain that DEA for the entire duration of the assignment, not only on days worked
ERCP: REQUIRED
EUS: REQUIRED
Candidates must be able to perform both ERCP and EUS to be considered.
Important: ERCP and EUS experience must be specifically noted in the candidate presentation.

AvailabilityAll shifts end the following morning at 7:00 AM.

- Ongoing dates will be presented once the currently listed dates have been filled
Onsite: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Inpatient coverage
Offsite: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Offsite night call coverage
Schedule Structure:
- All shifts, Monday–Sunday, follow the same 7:00 AM–7:00 AM structure
- Coverage is needed 365 days per year
- 7-day stints are preferred for 2027, but are not required
Setting: Inpatient
Trauma: Level 1 Trauma Center
Patient Population:
- Adult
- Geriatric
- Adolescent
Patient Volume:
- 8–10 new patients and follow-ups
- 5–8 scopes per day
GI Service: Consult service only; GI does not admit patients
Required Procedures / Duties:
- Scoping
- ERCP
- EUS
- Endoscopy
- GI bleed management
- Evaluation of GI problems
EMR: EPIC
Support Staff: None
Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage
Hospital Support- 24/7 intensivists onsite
- 24/7 hospitalists onsite
- 24/7 trauma services onsite
Pediatric Trauma: Patients must be at least 15 years old and 50 kg to be considered pediatric trauma. Otherwise, pediatric patients are not admitted to the facility.
EMR Training & CredentialingCredentialing Pre-App and Full App
- Must be completed and submitted before the provider can be moved into "Applicant in Training"
- This initiates AD account creation and EMR account setup
- AD account creation can take up to 5 days
EMR Modules
- Required lessons/modules must be completed before virtual EMR training
Virtual EMR Training (PPL)
- Modules must be completed before attending
- Virtual training must be completed at least 1 week before the provider's first day
First Day Details
- EMR modules and virtual training must be completed before first-day details can be released
Must Have:
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Gastroenterology Fellowship completed
- Active DEA
- Able to perform ERCP
- Able to perform EUS
- ERCP and EUS specifically documented in candidate presentation
- Available for some or all of the listed dates
- Comfortable with onsite 7:00 AM–7:00 PM inpatient coverage
- Comfortable with offsite 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night call
- Willing to provide ongoing locums coverage
Highly Preferred:
- Active Colorado medical license
- Local / drive-in candidate
