Position Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a structured block-schedule locum opportunity in Waynesboro, PA. This role offers a balanced mix of endoscopy, outpatient clinic, and inpatient consults, with predictable 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off scheduling.
This is a high-volume, well-supported practice ideal for physicians who want procedural GI work with built-in time off between rotations.
Schedule
- Block Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- Hours: 7:30 AM โ 5:00 PM
- Coverage Type: Scheduled + on-call requirement
- Call: Required (details per rotation)
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform EGD and colonoscopy procedures
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology consults
- Manage outpatient GI clinic visits
- Treat adult and geriatric GI conditions (18โ99 population)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary GI team
Practice Details
- Setting: Hospital + outpatient clinic
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital Size: 30-bed facility
- Support Staff: 1 MD, 3 APPs, clinical and non-clinical support staff
- Daily Volume: ~10โ11 patients per day
- Procedures: High procedural GI focus (EGD/colonoscopy)
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required)
- Active Pennsylvania license (required)
- DEA required
- Minimum 2 years experience required
- Epic EMR experience required

- Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days (temporary privileges available for clean files)
