## Gastroenterologist opening | Napa, CA Napa Valley — Northern California Wine Country ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent * Setting: Outpatient — Level III Trauma facility * Call: No scheduled clinical call — 7–10 days per month of call required * Admissions: Required * EMR: Epic * Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days * Malpractice insurance provided by vendor ## Practice Overview Seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to fill an ongoing vacancy at an outpatient gastroenterology practice in the heart of Napa Valley: * 12 patients per shift * Support staff includes 1 MA, 1 PA/NP, and 3 office staff * No resident or teaching supervision required * No supervision of advanced practice providers required ## Required Clinical Skills * Upper GI endoscopy — required * Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy — required * Foreign body removal — required * Fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser) — required * Injection of varices — required * PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) — required * Small bowel biopsy — required * Lower GI endoscopy — required * Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision — required ## Preferred Clinical Skills * ERCP — diagnostic and therapeutic — preferred * Flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy — preferred * Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube — preferred ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology * Fellowship required * California license or willingness to obtain — licensing reimbursement not available * Clean background required ## About the Community – Napa, California * World-renowned wine country in the heart of Northern California * Exceptional dining, arts, and cultural scene * Vibrant downtown with boutique shopping and award-winning restaurants * Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling, and kayaking * Easy access to San Francisco and Sacramento * Ideal climate with warm summers and mild winters * One of the most desirable communities in California to live and work
