Job Requirements

• MD or DO degree in Gastroenterology (Gastroenterologist / GI Physician)
• Active medical license in Pennsylvania required (not accepting candidates requiring licensure)
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in gastroenterology or GI practice
• NPDB report no more than 2 years old required at time of application
• Ability to participate in 24-hour call coverage and hospital rounding

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care across the hospital and clinic settings
• Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage, hospital rounding, and weekend call as needed based on patient volume
• Perform 4–6 outpatient endoscopy procedures daily, primarily screening colonoscopies and diagnostic endoscopy
• Collaborate closely with Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and the multidisciplinary care team; review patient cases each morning
• Document clinical encounters and treatment plans in the electronic medical record accurately and timely
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse population in Williamsport and surrounding communities
