We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum opportunity in York, PA. This role offers a mix of procedures and call coverage with flexible weekly blocks and weekend shifts. Work in a well-supported hospital setting with access to anesthesia services and a diverse adult patient population.
Job Responsibilities
Perform GI procedures and endoscopic evaluations 🩺
Provide inpatient consults and patient management
Participate in 24-hour call coverage including weekends ⏰
Collaborate with anesthesia and multidisciplinary teams
Deliver high-quality care for adult and geriatric patients
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology ✔️
Active Pennsylvania license (or willingness to obtain)
DEA certification required
Minimum 1 year of experience
Working Hours
10-hour day shifts starting at 7:30 AM ⏰
7-day blocks (Monday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM)
Weekend call: Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM 📅
Skills
Strong procedural and diagnostic GI skills 🔬
Experience with inpatient and consultative care
Excellent communication and teamwork 🤝
Familiarity with EPIC EMR
