Locums – Call Coverage – Williamsport, Pennsylvania – Gastroenterology Job

Clinical Role:

• Locum tenens opportunity
• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible gastroenterologist
• Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
• Schedule: 1:4 call rotation or up to 3 weeks per month
• 24-hour call + rounding
• Typical coverage: Friday 5p – Friday 5p

Scope of Work:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage during assigned dates
• Perform 4–6 outpatient endoscopy procedures per week (primarily screening colonoscopies)
• Inpatient consults and call responsibilities as needed
• Weekdays:
  • Meet with PA at 8a to review patients and round
  • Average ~5 scheduled outpatient procedures daily
  • Ongoing call coverage throughout the day/evening
• Weekends:
  • Call coverage with hospital rounding based on patient volume
  • Provider works solo nights and weekends
• Average 8–10 admissions while on call
• PAs handle first call

Requirements:

• Board certified or truly board eligible in gastroenterology
• ACLS and BLS (or willingness to obtain)
• Active Pennsylvania medical license
