Description
A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking a Gastroenterologist for block coverage including hospital rounding, procedures, and overnight call. The provider will work a structured 7-day schedule with anesthesia support and ERCP preferred (EUS not required).
This opportunity offers 2 weeks per month coverage with predictable daily hospital hours and overnight call.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage
- Perform GI procedures including ERCP (preferred)
- Manage consults and rounding
- Provide overnight call coverage
- Collaborate with anesthesia team
- Manage weekend hospital coverage
- Document encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- MD or DO required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year experience required
- ERCP preferred
- EUS not required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
Block Schedule:
Friday: 12 PM – 5 PM hospital, then 5 PM – 7 AM call
Saturday: 7 AM – 5 PM hospital, then 5 PM – 7 AM call
Sunday: 7 AM – 5 PM hospital, then 5 PM – 7 AM call
Monday: 7 AM – 5 PM hospital
Tuesday: 7 AM – 5 PM hospital
Wednesday: 7 AM – 5 PM hospital
Thursday: 7 AM – 5 PM hospital, then 5 PM – 7 AM call
Friday: 7 AM – 12 PM hospital
Coverage Needed:
