Description

A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking a Gastroenterologist for ongoing hospital-based coverage. The provider will work weekday procedural shifts with continuous 24-hour call coverage during assigned weeks.

This opportunity offers 2–3 weeks per month with a mix of inpatient consults, rounding, and procedural volume. No ERCP or EUS required.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Perform outpatient and inpatient GI procedures
• Conduct rounding and consults Monday–Friday
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage
• Manage hospital-based GI cases
• Document encounters using Epic EMR

Qualifications

• MD or DO required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
• DEA required
• BLS/ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience required
• No ERCP or EUS required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Working Hours

Schedule:
2–3 weeks per month

Shift Details:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM procedures, rounding, consults

Call Coverage:
24-hour call Friday 5 PM – Friday 5 PM (during assigned week)

Procedural Volume:
4–6 outpatient procedures daily
Additional inpatient procedures as needed
