Position Overview

One of our Partners in North Carolina is seeking an Advanced Gastroenterologist (ERCP / EUS) to provide weekday-only GI lab coverage with no call responsibilities.

This is a true advanced GI opportunity — ideal for physicians who want to focus on ERCP and EUS in a structured, high-efficiency environment without the burden of nights, weekends, or inpatient call.

The assignment offers a minimum 6-month commitment with ongoing need, providing stability and continuity while maintaining the flexibility of locum tenens work.

Providers will work within a well-supported endoscopy unit alongside a dedicated APP and experienced clinical staff, using EPIC EMR and benefiting from an established hospitalist and specialty referral network.

This is an excellent opportunity for advanced GI physicians seeking a predictable schedule, strong procedural volume, and top-tier compensation in a no-call setting.

Provider Pay: $460/hour

Market Pay Ranking: Top ~10% of Advanced GI Locum Pay (2026 market data)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform advanced GI procedures including ERCP and EUS
• Provide endoscopic evaluations and treatments
• Manage procedural cases within the GI lab
• Collaborate with APPs, hospitalists, and specialty teams
• Document procedures and encounters in EPIC
• Maintain high-quality, evidence-based GI care

Skills & Experience

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
Advanced GI training required (ERCP & EUS)
• Active North Carolina License (or IMLC accepted)
• DEA required
• Hospital-based GI experience preferred
