Coverage Needed
- Start Date: June 22, 2026
- Schedule: Monday to Friday in GI Lab, 8 AM - 4 PM; Saturday/Sunday - Inpatient Call + Consults
- Call: 24/7 Call for General GI + ERCP (outpatient + inpatient); Weeknight call from 4:30 PM to 8 AM; Weekend Call from 4:30 PM on Friday to 8 AM on Monday
- Open Dates:
- June 22-28, 29 - July 5
- August 3-7, 17-21, 31 - September 4
Clinical Details
- Coverage Type: Inpatient GI
- Specialty: Advanced Gastroenterology
- EMR: EPIC
- Support Staff: GI lab staff, MA and nurse in the office, APPs during the week and some weekends
- Trauma Level: Level 3
- Bed Size: 303 Staffed Beds
- Patients Per Day: 15-20 patient census going into the weekend
- Procedure census on weekend around 5-7
- Anesthesia is not always available in the GI lab (Monday-Friday 8 AM-3 PM)
- If locum is not conscious sedation capable, they have to go in the OR queue
- Required Cases/Procedures: General GI + ERCP (does not include unreferred ER call); EUS preferred but not required
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Conscious Sedation strongly preferred
- Active PA License or IMLC
- IMLC LOQ required at time of submission
- Minimum Commitment: 1 week per month
