Required Skills:
  • Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Proven experience in inpatient GI management, including rounds and consultations
  • Proficiency in performing ERCP procedures
  • Strong procedural skills in endoscopy
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication abilities
  • Ability to adhere to hospital protocols and patient safety standards
  • Valid medical license and current certifications in good standing

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with Epic EMR system
  • Familiarity with inpatient hospital workflows
  • Ability to manage complex cases independently
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and APPs

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • At least 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in a hospital setting
  • Prior locum or temporary coverage experience is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to start as soon as possible, ongoing until replaced
  • Flexibility to work 14 days per month on a 7 on/7 off schedule
  • Ability to cover designated dates including March 17-23, April 14-20, and additional scheduled periods
  • Must have a clean record for expedited privileges
  • No travel required for local candidates, but lodging support is available per our policy
  • Must be comfortable performing inpatient procedures, including ERCP
  • Eligibility for credentialing within a timely manner to ensure seamless employment
