Gastroenterology Opening – New Bern, North Carolina Coastal North Carolina Full-Time | Permanent | Employed Seeking a Board Eligible / Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join a growing, well-supported GI program in North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity to step into an established practice with strong procedural volume and a long-term commitment to program development. ### Why This Role * Join an established GI team with 4 Gastroenterologists and 1 APP * ERCP and EUS services currently offered * Strong institutional commitment to expanding and strengthening the GI program * Recent addition of a new colorectal surgeon, enhancing multidisciplinary collaboration * Productivity-driven compensation with guaranteed income and bonus potential ### Practice Details * Adult Gastroenterology practice * Mix of clinic, procedures, and consults * Duties include: * Diagnosing and managing digestive disorders * Performing examinations and procedures * Ordering and interpreting diagnostic and screening tests * Prescribing medications as appropriate * Referring patients for additional specialty care when indicated ### Call Schedule * Weekday GI call: 1:4 (own patients) * Weekend call: 1:8 (shared with a private practice group) * Holiday coverage split fairly between groups ### Compensation & Benefits * Minimum 2-year salary guarantee * Productivity-based wRVU compensation model with attainable bonus incentives * Comprehensive benefits package, including: * Health and dental insurance (family coverage available) * Long-term and short-term disability * Life insurance * 403(b) tax-sheltered annuity * 457(b) deferred compensation plan * Malpractice insurance with retroactive and tail coverage * 30 days of vacation * 10 days CME * $7,000 annual CME allowance (expenses, dues, subscriptions) ### Requirements * MD/DO * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology * Active (or eligible) North Carolina medical license * Active DEA registration * Eligible for and able to maintain medical staff privileges
