We are actively seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Plattsburgh, NY. This assignment offers a flexible 1 week per month coverage schedule with a mix of inpatient consults and elective procedures.

Call: Yes – some 24-hour call coverage required

Mon–Thu: Inpatient coverage + elective procedures

Fri–Sun: 24-hour call coverage

Job Responsibilities
Inpatient GI coverage
Elective scoping procedures
Consults and rounding
Manage urgent/emergent inpatient or ER cases
Procedures Required:
Endoscopy
Colonoscopy
Volume:
~40 procedures per week (elective + urgent/emergent)
10–15 inpatient consults
Support:
APP / Nurse Practitioner support
Minimal oversight of inpatient NP

Trauma Level: 3
EMR: EPIC
Qualifications
Board Certified Gastroenterologist
Active New York License
BLS, ACLS, PALS required
Fellowship in Gastroenterology required
