A healthcare facility is seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist to provide coverage for an inpatient GI service. This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced APP support while performing advanced GI procedures in a collaborative hospital environment.

✨ Position Highlights

🔹 24-hour call coverage with 8 hours onsite
🔹 Inpatient GI consult service
🔹 Support from 2 Advanced Practice Providers
🔹 Opportunity for ongoing coverage beyond initial dates
🔹 Work in a high-volume GI program with advanced procedures

🏥 Practice Setting

✔ Hospital-based Gastroenterology service
✔ Adult inpatient consults and procedures
✔ Average census: 10–12 patients per day
✔ APP support assisting with rounding and patient care
✔ EMR: Epic

🔬 Procedures & Clinical Scope

Physician should be comfortable performing:

• Colonoscopy
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)

Additional clinical responsibilities include:

• Managing inpatient gastroenterology consults
• Performing advanced GI procedures
• Collaborating with APPs and hospital staff
• Providing 24-hour on-call GI coverage

June 12 – June 19 (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

✅ Requirements

📌 Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
📌 Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology
📌 Active Iowa license or IMLC
📌 Experience performing EUS & ERCP
📌 Clean malpractice and background history
📌 Recent NPDB self-query report
