Exciting locum tenens opportunity for a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP expertise to provide comprehensive GI coverage in a hospital-based setting. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with dedicated endoscopy time and weekend-only 24-hour call — no weekday night call required.
Work alongside an established GI team with APP support and full onsite services including lab and imaging. Ideal for experienced providers seeking a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and advanced endoscopic procedures in a collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
• ERCP procedures (Required)
• Manage outpatient GI clinic visits
• Provide inpatient GI consults
• Cover weekend 24-hour call (no weekday night call)
• Perform approximately 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient scopes per day
• Document encounters using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and hospital staff
Qualifications
• Fellowship-trained with 2–3+ years of experience
• ERCP proficiency (Required)
• Active Michigan Medical License & CSR
• ACLS Certification
• Clean background and recent NPDB self-query
• DEA (verbal confirmation required at submission)
Working Hours
• 24-hour weekend call (Saturday/Sunday only)
• No weekday night call
• Ongoing assignment availability
