High-impact locum Gastroenterology opportunity with a focused inpatient setting and APP support. This assignment features 24-hour call with limited on-site hours, advanced procedures, and ongoing coverage potential—ideal for experienced GI physicians seeking flexible, well-supported locums work 🌟
Job Responsibilities
• Manage inpatient GI consults and patient care
• Perform endoscopic procedures including Colonoscopy, EUS, and ERCP
• Collaborate with APPs for daily rounding and patient management
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage with defined on-site hours
• Ensure timely, high-quality clinical decision-making
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
• Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ
• Strong experience with EUS and ERCP (required)
• Clean malpractice and background history
Working Hours
• 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• On-site clinical coverage for approximately 8 hours/day
• Weekend coverage as needed ⏰
• Required coverage: June 12 – June 19, with additional dates available
