LOCUM Gastroenterologist – Des Moines, Iowa
24-Hour Call Model | Advanced Endoscopy Required | EPIC
365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Truly Board Eligible Gastroenterologist for a 24-hour call assignment in Des Moines, Iowa. This opportunity includes on-site daytime coverage with structured inpatient responsibilities and APP support.
Initial coverage is required in June, with additional ongoing dates available.
Coverage Dates
• June 12 at 7:00 AM – June 19 at 7:00 AM
• Additional ongoing dates available
Schedule Model
• 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• On-site for 8 hours during the day
• Weekend coverage as needed
Practice Overview
• Inpatient coverage only
• Average hospital census: 10–12 patients per day
• APP support for rounding
• 1 Gastroenterologist on service
• 2 Advanced Practice Providers
• No APP supervision required
• EMR: EPIC
Services include:
• Colonoscopy
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
This is a hospital-based GI consult and procedural coverage model with established team support.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship Trained in Gastroenterology
• Active Iowa License or Active IMLC
• Must be comfortable performing EUS and ERCP
• Ability to cover June 12–19 block
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query (within current month)
