Seeking a Locum Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient coverage.

Schedule

24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

On-site for 8 hours daily

Call required
Practice Details
-
Inpatient coverage only (no outreach, no telehealth)

Average daily census: 10–12 patients (APP support for rounding)
-
1 physician and 2 APPs in practice
-
No supervision of APPs required
-
EMR: Epic
-
Services include: Colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP
-
On-site medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy available
Travel Reimbursement

Flight (capped)

Lodging (capped; preferred hotel available)

Rental car (capped; preferred vendors available)

Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
Requirements
-
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) in Gastroenterology

Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology

Active Iowa license or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)

Must be experienced
-
Must be proficient in EUS and ERCP
-
Must be available for June 12–19 coverage (required at name clear)

Clean malpractice and background history
-
NPDB Self-Query (dated within the last 30–90 days at presentation)
