Required Skills:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
- Proven experience in performing colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, and upper GI endoscopy
- Competency in managing acute GI bleeding, banding lesions, dilation, and PEG placements
- Skilled in ERCP, with a volume of at least 1-2 ERCPs per week to maintain proficiency
- Strong knowledge of hospital-based GI procedures and consultation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and patient management skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with ERCP and complex biliary procedures
- Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly EPIC
- Prior experience working in a hospital setting with solo practice responsibilities
- Ability to perform high-volume ERCP or other advanced procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in North Dakota or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 2+ years of post-training clinical experience in gastroenterology
- Prior experience working solo in hospital settings highly advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing timeline of 60 to 90 days
- Ability to work during scheduled dates, including holiday coverage
- No NP support, no clinic responsibilities; exclusively hospital call
- Willingness to travel and adapt to hospital protocols
- Certifications in ACLS/BLS required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $18.72
- Weekly pay via direct deposit
- Competitive pay packages with comprehensive medical benefits (W-2)
- Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable laws
- Malpractice coverage included in rates
- Orientation compensation of $262.50-$287.50
- On-call rates of $3,500-$4,000 per 24-hour period
- Holiday call rate $5,250-$6,000 per 24 hours
- Call back pay: $525-$575 per hour of patient contact, plus holiday back pay of $797.50-$862.50 per hour
- Reimbursement for licensure, certifications, travel, and other expenses as applicable
- 24-hour hospital call coverage with hospital rounding, flexible schedule based on patient volume
