🩺 Locum Gastroenterologist – Outpatient Only | Grand Forks, ND

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a short-term locum assignment with an established outpatient GI program in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

📅 Coverage Dates

• June 1 – June 5, 2026

• January 4 – January 8, 2027

Short, structured weekday coverage blocks — ideal for physicians seeking supplemental locum work.

🗓 Schedule Details

• Monday – Friday

• No call

• Clinic hours typically between 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• 30-minute lunch

• All charting completed during shift

🏥 Practice Setting

• Outpatient only

• Altru Professional Center (dedicated outpatient facility)

• No inpatient rounding

• No hospital call

📊 Clinical Volume & Scope

• 14–16 procedures per day

• Primarily outpatient endoscopy cases

Core Procedures:

• Colonoscopy (with biopsy and polyp excision)

• EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)

Additional Procedures Include:

• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy

• Foreign body removal

• Fulguration of bleeder (cautery/laser)

• Injection of varices

• Esophageal dilation & manometry

• Small bowel biopsy

• Lower GI endoscopy

• Flexible sigmoidoscopy

👥 Support Structure

• Dedicated CRNA

• RN in each room

• GI technician support

• Other physicians typically present onsite

• No midlevel (APP) support in outpatient setting

Well-staffed procedural rooms with strong anesthesia and nursing assistance.

• Board Certified Gastroenterologist

• Experienced in outpatient endoscopy procedures

• Comfortable with 14–16 procedures/day volume
