Gastroenterologist Job Details

• Position Type: Locum tenens (contract/travel gastroenterology jobs)

• Travel: Local Michigan providers preferred (mileage reimbursed if applicable)

Gastroenterologist Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
• Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain (Michigan gastroenterologist jobs)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Proficient in outpatient and hospital-based GI procedures: colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced GI procedures
• Experience with Epic EMR system (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in gastroenterology
• Local provider preferred (mileage reimbursed if applicable)

Gastroenterologist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive gastroenterology care in outpatient and hospital settings
• Perform colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and advanced GI procedures
• Collaborate with dedicated clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient management
• Maintain professionalism and clinical excellence in all aspects of care
