Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist Opportunities in Michigan!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist for ongoing locum coverage. The provider will deliver comprehensive outpatient and hospital-based GI care, including advanced endoscopic procedures, in a well-supported clinical environment. This is a fixed weekday role with no call responsibilities, specifically covering Mondays and Fridays only.

Dates & Schedule

• Coverage Duration: ASAP – Indefinite

• Schedule: Mondays and Fridays only, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Must be available both days; no flexibility for Tues–Thurs

• Call: None (no nights or weekends)

• Practice Setting: Outpatient Digestive Health Center with hospital-based procedures

• Patient Volume:

  • 30-minute colonoscopies

  • 30-minute EGDs

  • 60-minute double procedures

  • ~14 hospital-based patients per day
    

• Group Size: 4 physicians plus locums

• EMR: Epic

• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days

• Reason for Coverage: Recruitment gaps

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient gastroenterology care in a dedicated digestive health center

• Perform colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced GI procedures

• Manage hospital-based GI consults and procedures

• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary GI team and dedicated clinical staff

• Deliver care to adult patients in both outpatient and hospital settings

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Required)

• Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology (Required)

• Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain (Required)

• BLS and ACLS certifications (Required)

• Ability to perform outpatient and hospital-based GI procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced procedures (Required)

• Local provider

• Self-Query NPDB (within one month at time of presentation)

• Familiarity with Epic EMR (Preferred)
