- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 15-20 patients per shift. We are seeking immediate coverage for an Interventional Gastroenterologist, with credentialing required before starting. Case logs for both ECU and ERCP are needed for the past 12 months, tracked via ProVation or a GI system, to ensure proper reporting and meet hospital privilege requirements. Coverage involves 12-hour in-house shifts, with on-call responsibilities for 12 hours each shift. The ideal candidate will have completed a three-year GI fellowship and a fourth-year advanced endoscopy fellowship. ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship completion is required, along with current experience performing at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months, or completion of training within the past 12 months. The position is for 1-2 weeks per month, with a preference for candidates available for at least two weeks per month for the next 9-12 months. Average daily caseload includes 15-20 patients and 5 procedures, with 0-10 calls during on-call hours (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and 1-3 call-backs overnight per week. ERCP is not required, but Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) experience is a must.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including therapeutic EUS
* Handle 15-20 patients per day in clinic, with 5 procedures
* Manage call coverage, with an average of 0-10 calls and 1-3 call-backs overnight per week
* Maintain accurate documentation of procedures via ProVation or GI system
* Demonstrate competence in ERCP procedures when applicable, though ERCP is not required
* Provide high-quality patient care and coordinate with healthcare teams
Qualifications
* Completion of a fourth-year fellowship in advanced endoscopy
* Demonstrated competence with at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies, and 10 stent placements in the last 12 months, or completion of training within the past 12 months
* Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative healthcare environment
Working Hours
* 12-hour in-house shifts from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 12 hours of on-call coverage (8 p.m. to 8 a.m.)
