We are seeking a Gastroenterologist interested in a Locum-to-Perm opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa. This is an inpatient-focused role with 24-hour beeper call coverage and a clear pathway to transition into a permanent position.
🏥 Assignment Overview

Locum to Perm opportunity (permanent intent required)

Inpatient hospital-based coverage
-
24-hour offsite beeper call (7a–7a)
-
Adult patients only
-
Perform inpatient procedures, consults, and limited outpatient cases
-
Average 3–4 outpatient procedures per day
-
ERCP required
-
EUS highly preferred (ERCP-only candidates will be considered)

EMR: Cerner
-
Start: October 2025 – ongoing
✅ Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)

Active Iowa license or IMLC
-
ACLS
-
Inpatient GI experience required

ERCP required | EUS preferred

COVID vaccination required

Clean malpractice & background
-
Must be actively seeking a permanent position
