We are seeking a Board-Certified Locum Gastroenterology Physician for a hospital-based assignment in northern Michigan. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of inpatient consults, outpatient endoscopy, and procedural GI coverage in a well-supported clinical environment. The role is ideal for experienced gastroenterologists looking for a locum tenens GI job in Michigan with structured scheduling, modern facilities, and strong clinical support.
This position requires ERCP expertise and provides coverage for endoscopy services along with GI consults during scheduled daytime hours. No weekday night call is required, with 24-hour weekend call coverage only.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform outpatient and inpatient endoscopic procedures
• Deliver ERCP procedures as required
• Manage GI-related diagnoses and treatment plans
• Cover scheduled endoscopy services during daytime hours
• Participate in weekend on-call coverage (24-hour call on weekends only)
• Collaborate with APPs, physicians, and onsite clinical teams
• Document care accurately using the electronic medical record system
Qualifications
• Fellowship-trained Gastroenterologist with 2–3+ years of experience
• Active Michigan medical license (required at time of submission)
• ACLS certification
• DEA registration
• ERCP experience (required)
• Clean professional background with no active restrictions
• Ability to work in a hospital-based GI setting
Working Hours
• Weekend coverage: 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays
• No weekday night call
