Locum Gastroenterologist needed in Tucson, AZ.

The Role:

• The need includes Regular time (8am - noon) that will include 5-10 procedures in the hospital Monday - Friday.
• Coverage: 24hour call.
• No clinic time is expected.
• Call to follow onsite hospital time.
• Call Type: Beeper.
• Practice Settings: Outpatient, Inpatient.
• Must have active Arizona license and DEA.
• Must have clear record.
• Required Specialty Skills: Upper GI endoscopy, with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices, Diagnostic, Therapeutic, With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy), Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy,Sigmoidoscopy, Flexible, Rigid, Colonoscopy, with biopsy, with excision of polyp.
• Preferred Specialty Skills: ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Licensed in AZ only.
• Fellowship Required.
• Level 3 Trauma.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Credentialing: 14 - 30 days.
