Looking for a strong Gastroenterologist who wants consistent, long-term opportunity in Prestonsburg, Kentucky with a mix of inpatient and outpatient GI. This is an excellent option for a provider who enjoys variety in their practice, wants stability, and is open to a locums to perm pathway with a supportive clinical environment.

ERCP is preferred, and this opportunity is ideal for a GI physician who wants steady volume, ongoing coverage, and a practice where you can truly make an impact.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, injection of varices
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
• ERCP coverage preferred
• PEG placement management
• Liver biopsy procedures
• Participate in call coverage with beeper call model
• Supervise APP support, as needed
Qualifications
• Board Eligible or Board Certified accepted
• Active Kentucky license required OR eligible via IMLC
• ACLS and BLS Required
• Minimum 2 weeks availability; FT preferred
Working Hours
• Duration: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
• Call Type: Beeper call
