ConnectHealth has an urgent Interventional Gastroenterology need in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with an ASAP start once credentialed and ongoing coverage over the next 9 to 12 months. This is a high impact inpatient procedural role requiring strong advanced endoscopy skills including ERCP and therapeutic EUS, with hospital based proceduralist coverage and call.

Job Responsibilities

β€’ Provide Interventional Gastroenterology coverage for extra volume in an inpatient setting
β€’ Perform advanced endoscopic procedures including ERCP and therapeutic EUS, plus hospital proceduralist coverage
β€’ Manage consults and rounding as needed and collaborate with the onsite team
β€’ Take call coverage and respond within required timeframe
β€’ Supervise APP support as applicable
β€’ Document all care in Epic EMR
β€’ Will need to provide case logs for credentialing review as requested (separate ERCP and EUS logs for the past 12 months)

Qualifications

β€’ Physician MD or DO
β€’ GI fellowship required plus advanced endoscopy training strongly preferred
β€’ Board eligible or board certified Gastroenterology
β€’ License to bid: Active Oklahoma license or IMLC pathway accepted
β€’ Must demonstrate current advanced ERCP competency (recent therapeutic ERCP volume and key interventions)
β€’ Comfortable with high acuity inpatient work and call coverage
β€’ Epic experience preferred

Working Hours

β€’ Start: ASAP once credentialed (estimated credentialing about 60 days)
β€’ Ongoing need for the next 9 to 12 months
β€’ Coverage need: 1 to 2 weeks per month (preference for 2 weeks per month, will consider 1 week per month)
β€’ Expected in house coverage: 8A to 8P with 12 hours of on call 8P to 8A
β€’ Call type: beeper with 30 min response time
β€’ Volume: 15 to 20 patients per shift with approximately 5 procedures daily, plus call activity

Skills

Required
β€’ ERCP diagnostic and therapeutic
β€’ Therapeutic EUS
β€’ Advanced endoscopy skillset including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with interventions
β€’ Strong inpatient consult management and hospital based procedural coverage
β€’ Efficient documentation in Epic EMR
β€’ Ability to provide detailed procedure case logs for privileges review
