ConnectHealth has an immediate hospital based Gastroenterology need in Marquette, Michigan. ERCP is required, along with a strong endoscopy skillset (EGD and Colonoscopy) and comfort with inpatient consults and call. The client is moving quickly and prioritizing providers who can cover multiple blocks.

Active Michigan license
Board Certified Gastroenterology
ERCP required

Job Responsibilities
Qualifications
Board Certified Gastroenterology required (fellowship preferred)
Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, ATLS, ABLS
Comfortable with hospital-based GI coverage and call
Must be able to cover full requested coverage blocks (no partial coverage)
Working Hours
Overnight call: 15-hour shift.
Weekend call: 24-hour shift.
Coverage blocks requested (MI licensed providers only):
3/25 orientation
3/26 7 a.m. to 3/30 7 a.m.
4/16 7 a.m. to 4/20 7 a.m.
6/12 7 a.m. to 6/15 7 a.m.
12/11 7 a.m. to 12/14 7 a.m.
Start date is TBD based on completed credentialing (estimated timeframe: ~60 days).
Call coverage is required for the duration of the assignment (beeper call).
Skills
Upper GI endoscopy (EGD) including biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/bleeder management, variceal injection
Colonoscopy including biopsy and polyp excision
Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
PEG placement
Esophageal dilation and manometry
Small bowel biopsy
Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
Liver biopsy
Capsule endoscopy and hydrogen breath testing exposure helpful (preferred in unit)
