Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center is seeking a Gastroenterology physician for long-term need. This assignment offers a balanced inpatient and outpatient practice in a 192-bed, stroke-certified community hospital with established clinical support and manageable call.
Job Responsibilities
Perform consultations and rounding for GI patients
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures
Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers
Participate in beeper call coverage
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital standards
Qualifications
Gastroenterology fellowship required
Board Eligible accepted
Active Kentucky medical license or IMLC
ACLS and BLS required
Ability to supervise APPs
Working Hours
Beeper call coverage
Call response time: 30 minutes
Average call volume:
~3 phone consults per 24 hours
~5 patients seen
Skills
Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
Liver biopsy
Management of GI bleeding and varices
