Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: 1-2 weeks per month for the next 9-12 months. In-house call 12 hour shifts (8A-8P) with 12 hours on call (8P-8A). Preference for providers with minimum 2 weeks per month availability.
- Job Setting: Hospital proceduralist and call coverage at 239-bed facility.
- Types of Cases: Average 15-20 patients per day plus 5 procedures. Average 0-10 calls while on call 7P-7A. Average callback in 24 hours is 1-3 times overnight per week.
- Credentialing: 60 days. ASAP start date - Ongoing
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Eligible minimum
- Certifications: ACLS
- Licensure: Oklahoma state license or IMLC
- Training: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology that included training in ERCP. Completion of three year GI fellowship as well as a fourth year-fellowship in advanced endoscopy.
- Experience: Demonstrated current competence and evidence of performance of at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months or completion of training in the past 12 months. Case logs must include ProVation or a GI system and must be distinct and separate patient case logs for both ECU and ERCP, specifically for the past 12 months.
- Specialty Skills Required: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder, with injection of varices); ERCP Diagnostic and Therapeutic; With PEG; Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS); Liver biopsy; Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
- Specialty Skills Preferred: Small Bowel biopsy; Lower GI endoscopy; Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible and Rigid); Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
