Gastroenterology Physician Locums Job in Oklahoma | Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call | Beginning ASAP – Ongoing | Assignment #113390
Coverage Details
-- Accepting multiple providers
-- One to two weeks per month preferred (facility prefers 2 weeks; will consider 1 week/month for the next 9–12 months)
-- Estimated credentialing: 60 days (temp privileges available)
Shift Details
-- 12-hour in-house: 8am–8pm
-- 12-hour call: 8pm–8am
Call Details
-- Beeper call
-- Call response time: 15 minutes
-- Average calls per 24 hours: 15–20 patients seen
-- Average callback per 24 hours: 1–3 times overnight/week
Requirements
-- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
-- Fellowship required (3-year GI fellowship + 4th-year advanced endoscopy fellowship)
-- Active Oklahoma license or IMLC
-- ACLS
Required Procedures / Skills
-- Upper GI endoscopy (including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices)
-- ERCP: diagnostic + therapeutic
-- PEG
-- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
-- Liver biopsy
-- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
Assignment Details
-- Hospital proceduralist + call coverage
-- Patients per shift: 15–20
-- Procedures per day: ~5
-- Support staff: 1 PA/NP
-- Supervising APPs required
-- Expected call volume: 0–10 calls; callback 1–3 times overnight/week
-- EMR: Epic
