Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Gastroenterology Physician

Required Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
  • Proven experience in performing upper endoscopies (EGD) and colonoscopies
  • Proficiency in advanced procedures such as ERCP; EUS and EMR preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster patient rapport and team collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Knowledge of EMR systems (to be determined) and adherence to clinical protocols

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in a locum or combined locum-perm role
  • Experience managing a diverse patient population, including non-compliant and complex cases
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with a diverse patient demographic

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license in the state or ability to obtain licensing
  • Minimum of 2 years post-residency experience in gastroenterology practice
  • Experience performing ERCP procedures at a moderate complexity level

Other Requirements:
  • Credentialing and enrollment in Medicare & Medicaid (estimated timeline ~3 months)
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with shared call responsibilities
  • Flexibility to work onsite or remotely as determined; participation in after-hours call as scheduled
  • Willingness to support a patient population that may be non-compliant and requires compassionate care
  • Valid certifications, licensure, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

This position offers a competitive pay rate of $4,290.00 per week, with weekly direct deposit payments, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, and support for licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements where applicable.
