A regional hospital in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for locum coverage starting March 1, 2026. The role includes weekday daytime coverage with 24-hour weekend call only. This is a hospital-based clinic setting with strong onsite support and a steady procedural volume. ERCP experience is required. Local, drive-in candidates only.
Job Responsibilities
Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP
Cover hospital-based clinic and inpatient consults
Manage 18 outpatient and up to 20 inpatient scopes per day
Provide 24-hour weekend call coverage (Saturday/Sunday only)
Document care using Cerner EMR
Collaborate with physicians and APPs onsite
Qualifications
Active Michigan license and CSR at submission – required
ACLS certification – required
DEA (verbal confirmation at name clear) – required
Minimum 2–3 years post-fellowship experience – required
ERCP experience – required
Clean background and NPDB self-query (within 30 days) – required
COVID vaccination – required
Local drive-in candidate only – required
Working Hours
Weekend: 24-hour call (Saturday/Sunday only)
No weekday night call
