Coverage Type: 24-hour call
Duration: Ongoing (9–12 months)
Schedule: 1–2 weeks per month (preference for 2 weeks/month; 1 week/month considered)

Average daily volume: 15–20 patients + ~5 procedures/day
Bed size: 239-bed hospital
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days

Position Overview:
The facility is seeking coverage for an Interventional Gastroenterologist to support extra procedural volume within an established, regional advanced endoscopy program. This program offers a full spectrum of advanced endoscopic services, including advanced ERCP, therapeutic EUS, and advanced resection modalities.
Call & Schedule Details:
- In-house coverage: 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
- On-call: 12 hours (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM), beeper call
- Call response time: 15 minutes
- Average calls overnight: 0–10
- Average callbacks: 1–3 per week overnight
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Completion of a 3-year GI fellowship (Fellowship must be ACGME or AOA accredited)
- Completion of a 4th-year Advanced Endoscopy fellowship
- ACLS required
- Licensed in OK or eligible via IMLC
Required Skills:
- Upper GI Endoscopy, Upper GI Endoscopy with biopsy, Foreign body removal, Fulguration of bleeders (cautery or laser), Injection of varices, ERCP (Diagnostic & Therapeutic), ERCP with PEG, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Liver biopsy, Sengstaken–Blakemore tube insertion/management
Preferred Skills:
- Small bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy (flexible & rigid), Colonoscopy with with excision of polyp, Colonoscopy with biopsy
