Locum Gastroenterologist (GI)

Location

Michigan (Hospital-Based Setting)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• 24-hour weekend call

• No weekday night call

Coverage Dates

• January 22, 2026 – February 1, 2026

• February 5, 2026 – February 13, 2026

• February 19, 2026 – February 27, 2026

• March 4, 2026 onward (ongoing need)

Practice Details

• Hospital-based clinic setting

• Endoscopy coverage and consults during shift hours

• Average volume:

  • ~18 outpatient scopes per day

  • ~20 inpatient scopes per day

• Support staff: 2 physicians and 2 APPs

• Onsite services: Laboratory and X-Ray

• EMR: Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology – REQUIRED

• Active Michigan Medical License & CSR – REQUIRED

• ERCP experience – REQUIRED

• ACLS – REQUIRED

• DEA – REQUIRED

• COVID vaccination – REQUIRED

• Fellowship completed with minimum 2–3 years of experience – REQUIRED

• Clean background (minimum malpractice acceptable) – REQUIRED

• Local candidates preferred (driving in)

• NPDB self-query (within 30 days) – REQUIRED

Additional Requirements

• Availability and credentials must be submitted at the time of presentation

• IMLC candidates must provide LOQ and availability 60+ days out

• Immunizations required: Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, TB (within 12 months), TDAP (within last 10 years)

Credentialing & Compliance

• Reverse invoicing system (electronic timekeeping)

• Client travel and expense policy applies

• No reimbursement for medical staff fees
