Saint Joseph Hospital, a member of Covenant Health, is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP experience to join our dynamic and growing team in Nashua, New Hampshire. This is a unique hybrid opportunity that combines the scope of a traditional gastroenterology practice with the focused, inpatient-driven responsibilities of a hospitalist gastroenterologist—all within a predictable, no-call schedule.
You will practice in a state-of-the-art facility alongside a collaborative, highly skilled medical staff while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Position Overview
This full-time position blends outpatient continuity with inpatient acuity, offering variety, professional autonomy, and an exceptional work-life balance. The role is ideal for a gastroenterologist who enjoys procedural work, inpatient consultation, and maintaining longitudinal relationships with patients.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including inpatient consultations and urgent procedures

Perform outpatient clinic visits and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care

Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including ERCP

Manage a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal conditions, including:

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

Liver disease
-
Gastrointestinal bleeding

Collaborate closely with hospitalists, surgeons, and a multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes

Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and contribute to departmental best practices

Schedule
-
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

No call coverage or call rotation required

Typical daily structure:
-
½ day in Endoscopy
-
½ day rounding and managing inpatient consults and add-on cases

Daily schedule adjusted based on patient care needs
