Locums – Marquette, Michigan, Gastroenterologist Job

• 3/25 – Orientation

• 3/26 (7:00a) – 3/30 (7:00a)

• 4/16 (7:00a) – 4/20 (7:00a)

• 6/12 (7:00a) – 6/15 (7:00a)

• 12/11 (7:00a) – 12/14 (7:00a)

Site requires complete block coverage only Partial availability will not be considered

• Monday–Friday: 9-hour day shift with 1-hour lunch

• Overnight Call: 15-hour call shift

• Weekend Call: 24-hour call

• Call Coverage: On call during entire assignment

• Call Response Time: 20 minutes

• Hospital procedures + call

• Assigned & unassigned patients

• Facility will accept multiple providers

• Trauma Level II

• Locum provider will not have a scribe

• Provider responsible for all charting and documentation

• Provider must review all pathology results

• Provider must communicate results and follow-up recommendations to nursing staff for patient letters

• EGD

• Colonoscopy

• Sigmoidoscopy

• PEG / PEG-J tube placement

• pH studies

• Manometry

• Hydrogen breath testing

• Capsule endoscopy

• ERCP / EUS – Preferred

• 4 Procedure Rooms / Endo Suites

• Olympus equipment

• Propofol anesthesia

• Well-established and highly experienced Endoscopy team

• Average: 12 procedure patients per day

• Inpatient volume: Less than procedures

• Phone Consults: 2–4

• Admissions: None (Hospitalist admits)

• Cerner

• gGastro

• Athena

• Board Certified Gastroenterology – Required

• Active Michigan License – Required

• Fellowship – Preferred

• ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS – Required
