Seeking an experienced, board-certified Gastroenterologist to serve as Chief of Gastroenterology. This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and leading a high-impact academic GI division focused on clinical excellence, education, and program growth.
Job Responsibilities
• Expand advanced GI and complex endoscopic services
• Provide hands-on care for complex GI cases
• Recruit, mentor, and lead physicians and clinical teams
• Collaborate across specialties, including oncology
• Support research, education, and teaching initiatives
• Improve access and reduce care disparities
Qualifications
• Active NJ license or ability to obtain
• Experienced GI physician (no new grads)
• Prior leadership or program-building experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, DEA, CSR/CDS required
• Malpractice history considered with limitations
Working Hours
• 1:4 call schedule
• No locums or 1099 arrangements
