Locums | Gastroenterology | 24-Hour Call | Lakewood, CO (IMLC accepted) Why This Role

  • High-acuity inpatient GI coverage at a Level 1 trauma center
  • Urgent and ongoing need with priority consideration for experienced providers
  • Advanced procedural focus for ERCP and EUS
Assignment Details Locum tenens coverage beginning February 2026 with additional summer dates 24-hour call coverage from 7a–7a 5–7 days per month with opportunity for ongoing coverage into 2025 Emergency privileges possible within 1–2 weeks for clean files Clinical Details Inpatient consult-only gastroenterology service Adult and geriatric patient population, limited adolescent trauma cases Average 5–8 scopes per day with 8–10 new consults Required procedures include ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, GI bleed management, and inpatient GI evaluations Epic EMR with mandatory pre-training and virtual modules Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology Gastroenterology fellowship completed Active Colorado license or IMLC with LOQ in hand Active DEA Ability to perform ERCP and EUS required Clean malpractice and background history Compensation Rates: Facility is accepting bids Malpractice: Provided Travel: Reimbursed
