Location: Bay City, MI
Setting: Inpatient & GI Clinic (less than 0.5 miles from hospital)
Schedule: Monday 7 AM – Friday 7 PM call, no weekend call

• Monday–Thursday: 7 AM – 7 AM (24-hour coverage)

• Friday: 7 AM – 7 PM (12-hour coverage)

• Ongoing coverage through 2026

Position Overview:
Seeking Board-Certified Gastroenterologists for locum coverage to provide high-quality inpatient and procedural care in a supportive small-town environment with big-city amenities. This is a great opportunity for providers skilled in ERCP to work alongside hospitalists and a community of 2 colorectal surgeons.

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consults and procedures

• Perform ERCP and related GI procedures

• Collaborate with hospitalists and surgical colleagues

• Manage patient care efficiently in a small-town hospital setting

• Document all patient encounters using reverse billing system (Doc Time)

Schedule Highlights:

• 24-hour call Monday–Thursday (includes 8 gratis hours)

• 12-hour coverage Friday (includes 4 hours of patient contact)

• Holiday and call-back rates apply

• Start dates: Jan 5, Jan 12, Mar 30, Jul 27, Sep 28, Nov 23, Dec 28, 2026

• Required Credentials:

  • Board-Certified Gastroenterologist (ERCP required)

  • Active Michigan license (or IMLC with LOQ if dates 60+ days out)

  • Active DEA

  • NPDB self-query (within 30 days)

  • Clean malpractice history

• Preferred: Local providers (no airfare reimbursement)
