- Other Details: This gastroenterology locum opportunity offers 24-hour call coverage from January 19 through January 30, 2026, for a 12-day contract with a Monday through Sunday schedule of 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. The provider will support an average daily census of 12 adult and geriatric inpatients within a 219-bed hospital setting, working alongside full hospital support staff including RNs, NPs, specialty backup, and 24-hour anesthesia. Coverage is needed for continuous 24/7 service, with procedures required only for emergent situations, while EUS and ERCP experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be board certified, hold an active state license and DEA, and maintain BLS and ACLS certifications, with all hours billable and observed holidays included.

Job Responsibilities
* Manage an average daily census of 12 patients, addressing routine and emergent GI needs.
* Perform procedures for emergent situations as needed.
* Collaborate with RNs, NPs, specialty backup, and anesthesia staff to ensure patient care.
* Document all patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
* Maintain continuity of care throughout the contract period.
Qualifications
* Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
* Active state medical license and DEA.
* Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
* Experience with EUS and ERCP preferred but not required.
Working Hours
* Continuous 24/7 coverage (Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM).
* All hours billable, including observed holidays.
