- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 12-16 patients per shift. The locum Gastroenterology position requires coverage for weekday clinic shifts with night call, typically from 7:30–3:30 pm or 7:40–3:40 pm followed by night call until 7:30–7:40 am the next day, with weekend coverage consisting of 24-hour shifts. Office hours are 8 am–5 pm with a one-hour lunch, and procedures generally take 30–60 minutes. Shifts will be scheduled starting in May, with privilege taking several months, and specific shifts confirmed based on provider availability at the time of presentation. Required certifications include ERCP, FLURO (with temporary FLURO licenses accepted until permanent licensure is obtained within a year), an active state medical license and DEA, and board certification or eligibility within five years of residency. Compensation should reflect guaranteed 8-hour workdays, with overtime applied after nine hours per day.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform procedures such as ERCP and other routine GI interventions.
* Respond to night call and weekend 24-hour coverage as scheduled.
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
* Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
* Coordinate care with nursing and support staff during procedures and inpatient management.
* Follow clinical protocols and maintain patient safety standards.
Qualifications
* Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency.
* Active state medical license and DEA.
* ERCP certification required.
* FLURO certification required (temporary licenses accepted with permanent licensure within a year).
* Experience in gastroenterology procedures and patient care.
Working Hours
* Weekend coverage: 24-hour shifts.
* Office hours: 8 am–5 pm with a 1-hour lunch.
