Locum Gastroenterologist Needed in Michigan
An outpatient Digestive Health Center is seeking a locum Gastroenterologist to support coverage gaps on a part-time, ongoing basis. The role focuses on comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology care with no call responsibilities.
Schedule & Coverage:

Coverage: ASAP and ongoing

Schedule: Mondays and Fridays, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Fixed day shifts with no night, weekend, or call requirements
Practice Setting:

Outpatient Digestive Health Center with some hospital-based procedures
-
Join a team of four physicians with additional locum support

Trauma Level II hospital affiliation
-
Average procedural scheduling includes colonoscopies and EGDs with standard block times
-
Hospital-based volume averages approximately 14 patients per day

EMR: Epic
Clinical Responsibilities & Procedures:

Perform outpatient and hospital-based GI procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and advanced GI procedures
-
Provide comprehensive gastroenterology evaluation and management
Credentialing:
-
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90–120 days
Requirements & Qualifications:
-
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology

Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
-
Active state medical license or willingness to obtain
-
BLS and ACLS certifications
-
Familiarity with Epic preferred
-
Local provider required

Current NPDB self-query required
