Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Gastroenterology in Longmont, CO

As a Locum Physician specializing in Gastroenterology, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality inpatient care during critical coverage periods. What You’ll Bring:
  • Valid medical license for Colorado or IMLC certification
  • Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
  • Proven experience in inpatient GI procedures such as endoscopy, GI bleed assessment, and GI problem evaluation
  • Ability to perform 3 consecutive shifts as scheduled
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC (Epic experience preferred)
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Preferred Skills and Experiences:
  • Experience with trauma-level III hospital settings
  • Familiarity with inpatient consults and emergency procedures
  • Previous work in hospital-based GI practice
  • Experience with hospital call responsibilities and 24-hour coverage

Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Completion of residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology
  • Prior inpatient hospital experience preferred, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar setting

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be available for 24-hour call shifts, from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., with a 30-minute response time
  • Credentialing completed within 30 days; full privileges within 120 days
  • Ability to attend EMR training sessions (Modules and Virtual training required before first day)
  • Willingness to stay at designated lodging in Longmont, CO, with preferred hotel booking through our partner
  • Local candidates or those willing to drive preferred; no fly-in arrangements unless originally specified
