Required Skills:
- Michigan Medical License and Board Certification in Gastroenterology
- Proven experience in gastroenterology practice, including performing ERCP procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide inpatient and outpatient care in a fast-paced setting
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a hospital-based environment
- Familiarity with gastroenterology clinics located close to hospital settings
- Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse patient populations
- Prior locum or agency-based practice experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology
- Prior experience with ERCP procedures is highly preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Other Requirements:
- Availability for varied shifts as scheduled, including 24-hour call coverage from Monday 7 am to Friday 7 pm, with no weekend call
- Flexibility to work on scheduled dates extending through 2026, including multiple block assignments
- Valid driver’s license, with mileage and travel expenses subject to specified caps; hotel accommodations capped at $150, refueling required for rental vehicles
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local licensing and certification requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with hospital staff and support services
