Job Title: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology

Summary:

Join a dedicated team at a well-respected facility in Lakewood, Colorado, where the focus is on providing high-quality gastroenterological care. This opportunity is for Urgent coverage in December with the Gastroenterology team, and candidates should be proficient in ERCP and EUS to be considered. The setting includes inpatient care, with exposure to a Level 1 Trauma center.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide expert gastroenterology services to adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients.
• Perform required procedures including scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, and evaluation of GI problems.
• Respond to and manage GI-related situations on a 24-hour call basis.
• Engage in patient admissions and follow-ups, with an expected volume of 8-10 new patients daily.
• Utilize EMR (EPIC) for patient documentation.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship.
• Must have an active Colorado License or IMLC.
• Active DEA license required for credentialing.
• Proven experience in performing ERCP and EUS.
• Strong clean malpractice history/background.
• Local candidates preferred, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
