🌟 Gastroenterologist – Locum 24-Hour Call Coverage

📍 Lakewood, CO

🏥 Facility Setting: Inpatient / Level 1 Trauma Hospital
🩺 Specialty: Gastroenterology
🗓 Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a)
📅 Availability Needed: Ongoing — minimum 5–7 shifts per month
🧑‍⚕️ Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric (limited adolescent trauma cases)

✔ 24-hour GI call coverage
✔ Inpatient consult service
✔ Weekend coverage required
✔ Ongoing long-term scheduling
✔ Average 8–10 consults daily + 5–8 scopes per day
✔ Supportive hospitalist & intensivist coverage onsite
✔ EPIC EMR

🔹 ERCP
🔹 EUS
🔹 Endoscopy
🔹 GI Bleed Management
🔹 General GI consults & evaluations

📌 Submission Requirements

✅ Board Certified in Gastroenterology
✅ Completed GI Fellowship
✅ Active CO License or IMLC
✅ Active DEA
✅ Must be able to perform ERCP & EUS
✅ Clean malpractice & background preferred
✅ Willing to stay at preferred lodging options only
✅ Must complete required EMR training modules prior to start
✅ Must indicate ongoing shift availability per month

🛏 Travel & Lodging

🚗 Local / drive-in candidates highly preferred
🏨 Providers must agree to stay at designated preferred hotels only

You’ll be joining a busy GI service within a Level 1 Trauma setting, supporting a broad range of acute GI needs. This is a call-based locum role, ideal for physicians comfortable with advanced endoscopic procedures in a high-acuity environment.
